Fields: Configure Default MARC Map
Configure Default MARC Map lets you specify a default MARC Map for any parent search field. A MARC Map specifies which pieces of data should be associated with each parent search field.
|
If you add or edit a search field, or if you edit the MARC Map properties for a search field, you must re-index your data and refresh the Discovery search cache. Your changes are not reflected in Searching or the Admin console until you refresh the search cache. For more information about refreshing the Discovery search cache, see Refreshing the search cache. |

Extra content search fields do not map to MARC tags, nor do they map to PDF metadata fields. While these options may be available for extra content, changing the settings may cause undesirable results. |
